Ingredients:

  • 2 celery stalks, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped sweet orange pepper
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) chicken broth
  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • 2 medium red potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning (old bay)
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined (optional)
  • 1/2 pound bay scallops (optional)
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • chopped bacon bits (optional)


How To Make Chowder


Directions:

  • In an enormous pot, cook bacon over medium intensity until fresh. Eliminate to paper towels with an opened spoon; channel, holding 2 tablespoons drippings.
