 How To Cook Rump Steak

Red meat always tastes great next to potatoes and carrots. Rump steak is a tough meat that needs some tender love and care when cooking. With just the right method you’re steak can come out juicy, tender and moist. Let’s take a look at the ingredients to make this delicious rump steak.


Ingredients:

  • 1 tbs kosher salt
  • 1 tbs ground pepper corn
  • 2 tbs onion powder
  • 2 tbs garlic powder
  • 1 yellow onion (cut in half)
  • 1 bag baby carrots 
  • 2 cup water
  • 2 cups beef broth 
  • 1 - 2 pounds of rump steak
  • 1 - 2 pounds potatoes (red or Yukon gold)


Directions:

Turn crockpot on high. Add water and beef broth. Add rump steak. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and onion. Add potatoes and cover with lid. Cook 1 hour and 30 minutes, then stir. Cook another 1 hour and 30 minutes or until meat is tender. 

Note: Add carrots during the last 30 minutes of cooking process.
